Compressive Strength Of Fiber Reinforced Composite After Immersion In Citric Acid Of Energy Drink

نویسندگان

چکیده

Background: Energy drink consumption has been popular in people age 18-35 years old. A few literature showed that this can cause damage to teeth and composite due its acidity. The use of fiber reinforced increasing good mechanical properties aesthetic. Fiber shaped fillers withstand mastication forces. restoration material face the complex oral environment succeed clinically. Compressive strength test is needed predict durability materials against Purpose: To determine effect energy citric acid immersion compressive strength. Methods: 32 cylinder samples with 8mm tall 4mm diameter were divided into two groups. first group was immerse distilled water (K1) as control, second (K2) acid. immersed an incubator at ±37⁰C for 7 days. After days, washed water, dried tissue, then undergo Autograph machine crosshead speed 10mm/minute. data analyzed using Independent t-test. Results: mean K1 1469.63 MPa K2 1439.57 MPa. value slightly lower than group, but statistically, there no significant difference between 2 Conclusion: on strength.

the effect of taftan pozzolan on the compressive strength of concrete in the environmental conditions of oman sea (chabahar port)

cement is an essential ingredient in the concrete buildings. for production of cement considerable amount of fossil fuel and electrical energy is consumed. on the other hand for generating one tone of portland cement, nearly one ton of carbon dioxide is released. it shows that 7 percent of the total released carbon dioxide in the world relates to the cement industry. considering ecological issu...

Axial Compressive Strength of Reinforced Concrete Columns Wrapped with Fiber Reinforced Polymers (FRP)

This paper presents the results of a study on the axial compressive strength of columnsstrengthened with FRP wrap. The experimental part of the study included testing 6 reinforcedconcrete columns in two series. The first series comprised three similar circular reinforced concretecolumns strengthened with FRP wrap. The second series consisted of three similar square columns, two with sharp corner...

Influence of Temperature and Moisture on the Compressive Strength of Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymers

The effect of moisture absorption and high temperature on the compressive strength of unidirectional IM7/977-2 carbon/epoxy resins have been investigated experimentally. The specimens were divided into 4 groups, and tested under 4 different conditions by varying the testing temperature and moisture parameters. The fiber orientation selected were 0o, ±45o and 90o...

Shear Strength of Fiber-Reinforced Clayey Sands

Consolidated-drained triaxial compression tests were conducted to compare the stress-strain and volume change response of sands and clayey sands reinforced with discrete randomly distributed poly-propylene fibers. The influence of various test parameters such as fiber content (0.0%, 0.5% and 1.0% by weight), clay content (0%, 10% and 20% by weight), relative density (50% and 90%) and confining ...

Energy Systems and Crushing Behavior of Fiber Reinforced Composite Materials

Effect of geometry on crushing behavior, energy absorption and failure mode of woven roving jute fiber/epoxy laminated composite tubes were experimentally studied. Investigations were carried out on three different geometrical types of composite tubes (circular, square and radial corrugated) subjected to axial compressive loading. It was observed in axial crushing study that the load bearing ca...
